Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some common questions about Good News Encounters and how we serve individuals, couples, and churches. Our goal is to help people experience breakthrough by bringing Good News to life’s everyday problems—through Christ-centered care, practical insight, and spiritual renewal.
What is Good News Encounters?
Good News Encounters is a counseling and coaching venture that helps individuals, couples, and groups experience breakthrough through Christ-centered care, transformational coaching, and encounter groups.
We exist to bring Good News to life’s everyday problems—helping people bridge the gap between struggle and transformation, confusion and clarity, pain and peace. Our work centers on drawing out the pertinent psychological and theological truths inherent in the Good News, integrating spiritual formation with practical insight to foster growth, renewal, and lasting change.
How is Good News Encounters different from therapy?
We provide Christian counseling, coaching, and spiritual formation—not psychotherapy or medical or psychological treatment. While we draw from practical tools like NLP and Neuro-Semantics, our focus is on heart-level transformation, spiritual growth, and life change through Christ.
What if I am not religiously oriented or seeking faith-based help?
We welcome anyone seeking support, regardless of background. While our orientation is faith, many of the tools we use—such as reflective dialogue, reframing beliefs, and practical coaching strategies—are accessible and helpful to people from all walks of life. If you’re open to it, faith can be part of the conversation, but it will never be forced.
